During 2008 we were excited to enter our first pleasure driving competition at the Columbus Carriage Classic. Annie and Lady have spent many hours in front of a vehicle, but this was our first experience with public driving with a nice vehicle. The pair proved their flexibility by successfully negotiating all the cone and obstacle courses, including progressive cones without a fault. A very good first experience. All in all, the weekend was a lot of fun and very educational.

Each year we host an all horse-drawn parade in German Valley. Illinois. This was the first place which we presented our horses hitched to the Wicker Pheaton. Elizabeth Barthel was along as the groom for our turnout. A summer evening drive through town is a great opportunity to show your horses to friends and family.
