Chambord Farm - Home of Chambord Hackneys

WE WELCOME YOU TO CHAMBORD FARM and invite you to visit our farm located in Northwestern Illinois, near Freeport. While raising Hackney horses since 1984, our breeding program has emphasized correct conformation as we strive to obtain a horse that is not only pleasing to the eye but capable of performing as desired, in multiple disciplines.

THE INITIAL MARE LINES WERE KOOPMAN BREEDING, with a son of Suddie Marksman on the Stallion side. This provided an excellent group of foundation brood mares. Culliton’s Laddie, a Canadian bred dark bay son of Brooklawn Cavalier, also had a strong influence on our breeding.   We are now standing at stud, Chambord D’Artganon, Reserve Grand Champion, Canadian Royal Winter Fair November 2005.
